Terms of Service

Welcome to Safr. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Safr mobile application and the website at getsafr.app (together, the “Service”). By using Safr, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Safr is a prayer-aware navigation application that helps Muslim travelers locate masajid along their route. The Service is operated by the Safr team (“we,” “us,” “our”). You can reach us at hello@getsafr.app.

2. Using Safr

You may use Safr for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
• Submit false or misleading information about masajid or locations.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.

3. Beta program

If you are using Safr through TestFlight or a pre-release channel, the Service is provided as-is and may contain bugs, inaccurate data, or incomplete features. Do not rely on beta navigation for safety-critical decisions.

4. Location and navigation

Safr provides routing suggestions and masjid information for convenience only. Always follow local traffic laws, road signs, and your own judgment. We are not responsible for delays, incorrect directions, or missed prayers. Prayer times are calculated from published conventions and may differ from your local masjid’s jamaah schedule.

5. User content

You may submit reviews, corrections, or photos related to masajid. By submitting content, you grant Safr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the Service. You must have the right to share anything you submit, and content must respect Islamic etiquette and the dignity of houses of worship.

6. Account and access

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these Terms, abuses the Service, or poses a risk to other users or the integrity of masjid data.

7. Intellectual property

Safr, the Safr name, logo, and all related designs are the property of the Safr team. You may not reuse them without written permission. Map data and prayer-time calculations are provided by third parties under their own licenses.

8. Third-party services

Safr uses third-party services for maps, location, analytics, and crash reporting. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAFR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safr and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in the app or by updating this page. Continued use of Safr after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
